Acting on a pro bono basis, Hausfeld & Co successfully represented The British Disabled Flying Association, also known as Aerobility, in an appeal against HMRC in the First-Tier Tribunal (Tax).
Aerobility sought VAT exemption, or to be zero-rated for VAT, for the purposes of purchasing and maintaining their aircraft.
Although the decision of the First-Tier Tribunal is open to further appeal from HMRC, it represents an important milestone for both Aerobility and Hausfeld & Co.
